Mayor Joanne Monaghan started off the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, August 7th with her customary good news. She expressed Council met with the Deputy House Leader on July 17th and Adrian Dix on July 30th.

“The Chinese Councillor General, Fang Li, her entourage from the Peoples Republic of China, but they’re stationed in Vancouver, paid a visit to Kitimat. It was her excellencies first visit to Kitimat and she was looking for business opportunities to invest in Kitimat,” said Monaghan.

She announced the work has started on the car wash and the footprint for Tim Horton’s has been laid.

The good news concluded that the feasibility study on the Intercoastal Ferry was complete.
