The 4th Annual Run Walk Festival took place on the grey morning of Saturday, June 16th. 48 people came out to run, walk or jog the distance. This year’s festival served as a fundraiser for Kid Sport.

“They could run 5 Kilometres, 10 Kilometres or a Half Marathon which is 21 K. We also have one child who is running 2.5,” said Cori Biguski.

The long distance runners ran from Riverlodge to Overwaitea, up Haisla Hill and down to the log sort yard at Minette Bay and back to Riverlodge. The other runners ran in the same direction. The 5 Kilometre runners turned around at the Police Station and the 10 Kilometre runners turned around at the View Point.

10 people ran the half marathon. The organizers would like to thank all of the sponsors for contributing to the marathon.
