Kitimat City Council meets tonight, Monday June 18th for their Regular Meeting of Council. The meeting starts at 7:30.

5 presentations are scheduled. Staff Sergeant Corp has a monthly policing report, Ian Nakervis is talking about the Terrace Crime Stoppers, Rick Brouwer is brining up SNCIRE and the Regional Collaboration Initiative and Liz MacDonald presents on the Food Share Project.

The Enbridge Debate continues as Lorraine Little, S. Manager of U.S. Public Affairs for Liquids Operations and Projects, Enbridge Energy Company of the United States Incorporated provides Kitimat Council with an update on the spill in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

There are two bylaws on the agenda. The first is the 1st Reading of a Rural Resort Zoning Amendment. The Second is the first and second reading of the Zoning Amendment for Legion Avenue.

There are 7 reports. They deal with a Beng Box, 2 development permits, the statement of accounts and a temporary building permit. Notable on the reports are a request for a rally by Douglas Channel Watch and a report on the Food Truck Vender, Kitimat Concession.

There are two communications. One is a request for funding by SNCIRE and the second is for a request in for participation in a UBC Seed Project.
