Emergency Awareness Program
The Kitimat Fire Department is continuing the Emergency Awareness Program, which is lead by two summer students that are available for community events, firehall tours, fire safety and emergency preparedness presentations, and home safety assessments.
Some of the things included in a home safety assessment include:
-Smoke detector testing
-Assessment of your home for fire and safety hazards
-Discount coupons for emergency equipment
-FREE smoke detectors and/or batteries if required
Smoke alarms can and will save lives! Therefore, our goal is for every household in the community to have a working smoke alarm.
