There are many exciting events planned from June 9th – July 7th so come out and celebrate Canada Day in Kitimat!
The kick off events leading up to our Canada Day Celebrations start with Bull-O-Rama on June 9th at the Tamitik arena. Doors open at 5:30 and riding will begin at 7 pm. End the evening enjoying music by “Rick Stavley” and dance until 1:30am. Tickets are available at Cooks Jewellers, Kal Tire, Kitimat Chamber of Commerce and Pyramid Office Supplies.
Come celebrate your active community spirit while supporting Kidsport on Saturday, June 16th with the Annual Kitimat Valley Run/Walk Festival. The 21 km race begins at 8 am and the 5 and 10 km run begins at 9 am. There will be no registration taken on race day. Contact Riverlodge at 632-8970 for more information or to register.
The Rod & Gun will also be hosting a Family Fishing Day again from 10 am – 2pm on Sunday, June 17th with food and fun for everyone.
Here is a sneak peek of events happening on July 1st… the day will start out with the Traditional Pancake Breakfast with the Kitimat Kiwanis Club located at the Upper City Centre Mall Entrance. The Texas Hold-Em Poker Tournament will be located in the Community Room at Riverlodge from 12 - 6 p.m., contact Bernie James at 250-632-4795 for more information. On the Riverlodge fields you will be able to watch soccer and lacrosse throughout the day. The Kids Zone as well as the Helicopter rides and pony rides will be back again this year.
Remember the theme for this year’s parade is “Canadian Spirit”. Prizes will be awarded for the following: Best Decorated Service, Youth Entry, and Business as well as Best Decorative.
Forms are now available at the office for performers, musicians, vendors, community groups and parade participants.

don't forget about the hill climb on june 30th followed by a dance at riverlodge with a live band. there are only 300 tickets for the dance and they are available at kaltire and fred's equipment. tickets will not be available at the door and no minors
