The Kermode Friendship Society were having a bake sale fundraiser on Friday April 27th for Kamloopa Pow Wow this August.
“We are fundraising for a youth program. All proceeds go towards go to Kamloopa Pow Wow,” said Nicole Barzeau.
The Kermode Friendship Society is the aboriginal child and youth mental health program in Kitimat. They facilitate 5 different programs. These programs are designed for kids 7 and up. They run homework clubs, girls group, health and wellness programs, fun fitness, the youth council and youth drop in. They operate out of a satellite office in Mountain View square.
The club will be holding further fundraisers as the time for the trip draws nearer.
