Mayor Joanne Monaghan once again started off the Council Meeting on Monday, April 7th with her usual good news.
“The good news for tonight is that we had a great fun run for cancer on Saturday and Mr. Marleau actually ran and walked for 24 hours straight. I think that congratulations are due from the people of Kitimat for your effort in the run for Cancer,” said Monaghan.
She told people the ferry task force is gaining momentum and a Feasibility study will be completed. The housing task force is meeting weekly. The unsightly premises task force is back together and they hope to have results soon.
The LNG plants are building and she encouraged everyone to go down to Rio Tinto Alcan and see the camp and the huge new buildings.
