Kitimat City Council meets tonight, April 2nd at 7:30 PM in the Regular Council Chambers at the Public Safety Building. The agenda looks sparse.

Ngaire Moran from the Kitimat Dynamic Gymnastics will be presenting to Council on the topic of ‘Community Gaming Grant.’ She will be followed by Mary Monteiro with a presentation on ‘Enbridge, History of Litigation after Spill.’

Councillor Corrine Scott has a motion for the District of Kitimat to apply for Community Revitalization Grant money from the Northern Development Initiative Trust to revitalize City Centre. Councillor Phil Germuth has a motion for the District of Kitimat to present it’s written position on Enbridge to the Joint Review Panel.

There are four reports before Council. The first is in regards to the signing of the 2012 Municipal Police Agreement. The second is for funding for adults with development disabilities. A third report is in regards to a request for sponsorship from the 2012 Kitamaat Open Basketball Tournament which will take place on April 14th. The final report is about the 2012/2013 Leisure Services Department and Kitamaat Village Fee Schedual.
