Kitimat City Council meets tonight at7:30 in the Council Chambers in the Public Safety Building. While there is not much on the agenda, this one is not one to miss.

There are two presentations scheduled. The first is from Chad Fournier. He will be presenting on the Kitimat Snowmobile and Hiking Club. The second is from Veronica Bilash. The topic of her presentation is: The Legal Implications of Enbridge Process for Municipal Council.

There are three motions scheduled for the meeting, two from Councillor Mary Murphy and one from Councillor Feldhoff. Murphy’s motions are to change the location of the meeting to the District of Kitimat Room in Kitimat Valley Institute and to allow absent Councillors to discuss motions via conference call. Feldhoff’s motion is to hold another Community Forum on Enbridge.

There are three verbal reports, all from Councillor Mary Murphy. The first concerns the Building Sustainable Communi9ties Conference which she attended. The second is a report on the activities Leisure Services Advisory Commission. The final is a report on the Shipping Regulation and Marine Safety on BC’s North Coast Information Session.

Under Communications, there are two letters to Council. The first is from the World Wildlife fund concerning Earth Hour. The second is from Steve Connolly with a city re-vitalization plan.
