The Coast Mountain School District Meeting on February 22nd began with a special presentation by the Grade 2 and 3 students of Thornhill Primary. The students performed three traditional Nishga
dances for the School Board Trustees and a room full of proud parents.

The theme of the dance was the Nishga New Years Tradition, Hoobiyee, which was explained by their dancing Coach. On February 25th, if the crescent moon is facing in the right direction, it will indicate a good harvest.

Rebecca Walker and Caroline Denials have been working with the students since October to make this presentation possible.
