Mayor Joanne Monaghan was unable to attend the Committee of the Whole Meeting on January 23rd but she sent a message through the Acting Mayor, Mario Feldhoff. He expressed she had a brief conversation with the Mayor of Burns Lake.
“She passed on our support,” said Feldhoff. “And she reminded him, made him aware that there might be an opportunity for some of the people who have been displaced at the largest employer at their community, that possibly, they might be able to find some employment in our community,” said Feldhoff.
According to Feldhoff, the Mayor of Burns Lake was thankful for this.

Is she crazy, She has no right offering any one anything ,its up to the companies doing business here to be offering jobs not her. By the way ,contrary to popular belief ,there are a lot of locals still unemployed.
