Kitimat had its Forth Annual Rail Jam on Friday, January 27th. The hill was built in the Lower Mall Parking Lot and Kids of all ages had a chance to compete for prizes.

“We’re having a Rail Jam, the Forth Annual Rail Jam,” said Mark Harnadek from 101 Industries. “We invite all the young kids out to show us what they can do on these rails, they come down with Skis or Snowboards, do tricks and demonstrate and then we have a competition to show who’s the best.”

The snow hill this year was built by Shaun Oviatt of Daucet Creek Construction over a 3 day period.

Also present was the snowmobile and hiking club to do some demonstrations, bring forth awareness and entertain. There were a maximum of fifty entrants.

There were cash prizes donated by businesses in town, Rayz Board Shop and Ruins donated prizes as well.
