The Kitimat Marine Rescue is looking for new members. They will be holding an information session which will run from 7:30 until 9:00, tonight at Riverlodge for anyone who is interested in joining..

“We try to recruit once a year,” said Duncan Peacock, Training Director for Kitimat Marine Rescue. “We’re trying to recruit for new members. They might be members who are interested in search and rescue or interested in administrative duties within a society to support the unit.”

Recruits work with Junior Members and have to have a criminal record check. Marine skills are welcome but they will train new members in marine skills. Training takes place once a week, on Wednesdays but members are expected to make two of these sessions a month.
