REPORTING · 6th January 2012
Walter McFarlane
Council passed a motion on Tuesday, November 3rd concerning a partnership agreement with the Bill Rich Soccer Fields. A motion was made by Councillor Corrine Scott to accept the partnership, to operate, maintain and develop the Bill Rich Soccer Complex.

Councillor Mario Feldhoff wanted to know how the grant structure differed from the past. Martin Gould, Head of Leisure Services replied the structure is similar. The difference has been changed due to raising costs. The grant would increase from $27,000 to $30,000.

Feldhoff wanted to know why they would make the agreement with the Council rather then the District. Gould, explained it was a multi year agreement and the charter had to be approved and done through Council due to the length of the agreement. He further explained, answering a question from Scott, that the agreement could be renewed from Council to Council and adjusted accordingly.

The motion for the partnership was carried.
