The Ten Thousand Villages are once again visiting Kitimat with creations from around the world. They opened Thursday, were open Friday and today, Saturday, is their last day.
“Some of these products are new, and some of these products, we’ve had in previous years. Every one is hand made or hand crafted. We have a large range of goods from Chocolate to Jewellery to pottery, vases, table, cloths, runners, cds, books, a little bit of everything,” said Janice Sevigny.
The items come from places including Africa, Peru and India. Artisans make their items, the items are brought to Canada where they are sold via volunteer and the Artisans get the money back for their product.
