As for the real power in the community, the six Councillors are: Empinado, Feldhoff, Germuth, Goffinet, Murphy and Scott.

Unofficially, 2,426 voters cast ballots out of 4,300 registered voters - 57%!

Congratulations to those that were chosen by the citizens of Kitimat and a big thanks to those that took the time out of their personal lives to care enough about the future of Kitimat to be in the running. You are all winners.

The results are in and the constituents have had their say! I'm feeling overhwlemed and excited at the same time. I truly appreciate the support of so many people. We have a great group on Council and I look forward to a positive next term of office.

Congratulations to those elected, and a huge thank you to all those that put their name forward. It can be a tough road to follow at times and your interest in putting your name on the ballot to make a difference in our community is commendable.
