The Final Question was asked by Tony Brady. He asked what they would do to spend the budget locally to create jobs.

Randy Halyk said there was a lot of ways to spend the money but it would be the entrepreneurs who create jobs. There is a boom starting to happen. He thought spending money advertising the community to entrepreneurs.

Jim Thom said this has always been a pet peeve of the local business owners. However, it is sad to see vehicles from Penticton being driven by their staff. He said they should look within the community first. He encouraged everyone to buy and shop locally.

Monaghan said there is a system where the District goes out for bids. She said they could look at the system and try and keep things in Kitimat. However, there is a law which says they have to go out and advertise through out Canada. She buys locally as well and suggested the district executive do the same.
