NEWS RELEASE · 14th November 2011
The Kitimat RCMP would like to make the public aware of two armed robberies that occurred over the past weekend at two separate local businesses.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kitimat RCMP at 250-632-7111. If you wish to remain anonymous please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-250-222-TIPS (8477).

I think that this robbery might have more to do with some of the welfare recipients that are moved here by some local church or by the province.

Ever since the expansion and more companies coming to town there has been a lot of bad things happening around our town, especially with the newcomers. We were such a peaceful town before all the industries started coming here.

Have the RCMP released a photo? I understand his face was covered but someone might recognize a tattoo or hair or a piece of clothing.....

I am so glad no one was hurt.
Everyone please be more vigilant and be aware of your surroundings. It is a small town, it should not be hard to notice things that just don't appear right.
Call the police they will be grateful if it helps them do their job.
