A collection of photos from the Great Bear Rainforest were on display in the vacant build adjacent to Vitality. They held their opening on Saturday, November 5th in the evening and the room was packed full of people.
“We’re looking at a lot of pictures taken by famous photographers down the channel in the Great Bear Rainforest and it’s showing the beauty that we have in this Country,” said Margaret Stenson.
The pictures were taken by international artists. There was a silent auction for people to bid on the picture.
Most of the photos focused on the wonder of the rainforest. Sea life played a larger part in the imagery, with several shots of star fish and sea urchins, seals and salmon.
Three shots in particular were included, pictures taken in the tar sands including beautiful shots of the factories and the tailings ponds.
