Jim Thom was the final candidate to introduce himself.
“I’d like to be your mayor, and what I bring to the table is dedication to Kitimat, integrity, a cooperative spirit and I have experience,” said Thom.
He expressed he has seen Kitimat in it’s highs and lows, the new businesses and the closing of Eurocan. He said he is not afraid of hard work. He has experience as a City Councillor and served on the Regional District.
He promised to work cooperatively with the Councillors to provide policing, fire protection and other services to the people of Kitimat. He wanted to get the snow clearing back to acceptability.
He also wanted to create a west side road. He wanted to see the extended care facilities increase in size so loved ones can stay closer to home.

I'd really like to know why the issue from a few years back about this candidate assaulting a cashier at the local esso hasnt been addressed. Does he really think the public has forgotten he had something to do with that?

Definition of integrity: Honest and having strong moral principles. Yeah, right, Jim. The past has shown us what you have to offer.
