Kitimat Community Foundation
The 32nd Annual Aluminum City Telethon raises over $47,000.00!
THANK YOU KITIMAT residents and businesses for your generous support to our Telethon once again. We are happy to announce that our final total was $47, 869.35.
With these generous donations, this will also allow the non-profit organizations who have applied for Telethon dollars to receive financial support this year. Together with a portion of last year’s funds we will now be able to apply to NDI – Northern Development Initiative Trust for a matching $50, 000.00, making our grand total $100, 000.00!
We would like to thank all of our volunteers for all their hard work, without them the Telethon would not be possible. Thank you to Chris Cain and his City West crew for working so hard to make airing our Telethon possible. Thank you to Rio Tinto Alcan for sponsoring our Fiber Optic Cable installation, this allows broadcasting from the MET theatre for our event as well as other events in the community.
A huge thank you to our Host Monique Miller, as usual she did a fantastic job, and to Joanne Monaghan for taking care of Monique’s airfare. We also thank our neighbouring community of Terrace as we also received donations from their residents.
