Kitimat City Council meets tonight, Monday October 3rd at 7:30 Pm. Shames Mountain returns to the table so this is not one to miss.
The presentation portion of the meeting starts off with a public hearing concerning the amending of Strawberry Meadows zoning bylaw. It is followed by a request for Financial Assistance by Curtis Billey. Pastor Tim Coleman and Terry Runions wrap up Serve 2011. Murray Minchin of Douglas Channel Watch goes over Pipeline Risks and Geological Hazards. Finally, Brian Salsbury speaks as Vice Chair of Kitimat Community Foundation.
After Approving minutes, My Mountain Co-Op hit’s the table for the second Council Meeting. Following that, Mayor Joanne Monaghan is proposing writing Reitmans and Mark’s Workwear World. The Permissive Tax Exemption Bylaw followed by the Zoning Amendment Bylaw Comes next.
There are three reports, two are Temporary Building Permits and one is a license of Occupation. There are similarly two communications, one asking for the support of the Community Foundation and another asking the Mayor to advertise her Mayoral Status in the upcoming Luso 50th Anniversary booklet.
