Kitimat Arts for Youth is holding a Drama Camp for youth at the Presbyterian Church. The youth are memorizing their lines and learning the art of theatre from instructor, Vanessa Combden.

“We’re practicing our lines and learning and performing dances for the kids to perform,” said Combden.

The kids are learning acting, drama, how to present themselves and avoid blocking. The play they will be performing at the church on August 26th at 4:00 pm is Hansel and Gretel.

“It is a twisted play so it is not the traditional Hansel and Gretel that you are used to. There is a difference,” said Combden.

There are 17 youth involved in the program.
