REPORTING · 26th July 2011
Walter McFarlane
People ordering from Pizza Factory on evening of Tuesday, July 26th, between the hours of 6:30 to 8:30, might find themselves face to face with a special delivery boy.

“If you order a pizza between the above hours the Fire Department MAY be delivering your pizza in the fire truck! If we come to your home and are permitted to test your smoke alarm(s), and the smoke alarm(s) are found to be in working condition, then the pizza is on us,” Wrote Stacey Reis of the Emergency Awareness Program.

“If your smoke alarm is not working, then you still have to pay for your pizza, however we will provide you with a free smoke alarm or battery to bring it up to working condition. This event is to promote two things: the Kitimat Pizza Factory for providing us pizzas at half price, and also to promote fire safety and emergency awareness through our summer program.”

They plan to hold further events through out the summer so stay tuned for more.
