There are new Maple trees at the Bill Rich Soccer fields. These trees were planted through a grant from BC Hydro. Involved in a photo on June 29th. The kids from the 101 Team, Martin Gould from the Recreation Department. Also involved was Kevin Dobbin from Rio Tinto Alcan as the property is owned by Alcan and used for soccer through an agreement.
The goal is to plant ten more red maples at the field to improve the field for future generations.
Richard Velho, the coach expressed the youth on the 101 team were back from Prince George from a soccer tournament there. They did a good job and won 2 out of three games doing quite well.
