REPORTING · 7th July 2011
On Sunday, July 10th, Kitimat Baptist Church will be hosting Serve 2011. On Monday, July Forth, Terry Runions was present at Council to invite Mayor and Council to meet with the youth.
It is very exciting,” said Runions. “Kitimat, in 6 days from now, will be hosting Serve 2011. We have 157 youth and leaders coming into the community to Serve our community. They represent 13 different groups and four provinces. At this point, we have 27 scheduled projects to be completed in Kitimat.”
The youth will be involved in carrying out tasks around the Kitimat which the community has put forward. If you see the sign, pictured above, after the tenth, this means there is a serve project going on.
“What an opportunity for our community,” said Mayor Joanne Monahan.
