Canada Day was a damp, dreary day this year but this did not stop the party. July 1st opened with a pancake breakfast put on by the Kiwanis Club of Kitimat.
“It’s the annual pancake breakfast which the Kiwanis have done for many years. It being a long weekend and the weather not too bad, it was a little slow this morning but it’s had its busy spots,” said Tim Gleig who was flipping sausages.
He suspected the numbers were down from last year for the weather and the long weekend.
