A report in regards to an unsightly premises in Kitimat graced Council’s table and was received for information on Monday, June 20th. Richard Legault, the owner of the property stepped up to address Council.

He said he was having the yard landscaped within the next two weeks. At the moment, it was all he was planning.

“If Alcan built the pot lines within the next year, I will do renovations to the property. But I’m sceptical, very sceptical,” said Legault.

Administration explained the do not have the power to deal with peeling paint. It seemed the owner has the request well in hand.

A signed petition was also given to Council asking them to add the residence to the list of unsightly residences as it has no siding, the roof leaks and buckets are being used to catch the water, the driveway is unusable and the front yard is gravel.
