The Kitimat Public Library is hosting their summer reading program for ages 6-12. A similar half hour program is offered for preschoolers.
“The summer reading club theme this year is savour every word and read so we’re going to be focusing on nutrition and healthy living so every week there is a different theme and it’s based on healthy living so picnics, we’ll be focusing on fruits and vegetables,” said Beth Vines, the Summer Reading Coordinator.
This program is being run in libraries across the province. The theme is set by the program. Kids who read the books fill out their reading log. At the library, they do crafts and play outside.
