The Kitimat Art’s Festival Kicked off it’s first big performance with: “What Dreams May Come,” a Dance Recital on Sunday, June 5th at the Mount Elizabeth Theatre.

“I’m really proud because they only dance once a week and for them to pull a show of this calibre off is amazing,” said their dance instructor, Leah Correia.

The dancing was spectacular showcasing the talents of the young dancers.

The story told by the dancers could be interpreted many different ways. The show was about Never-ending love, happiness and trials. “Love prevails is what it is about,” said Correia.

At the end of the show, the dancers held keys up. “We found a quote that, all the way, we enjoyed about soul mates, and that every soul mate has a lock and a key and when you’ve found your soul mate, you’ve found someone who can actually open your lock.”
