Councillor Randy Halyk had an update for the community on the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) meeting which took place in Prince Rupert last week. Three Councillors attended the meetings.
“Before this started, Council got together and decided which of the motions would be important for us to comment on. We had one motion which the District of Kitimat actually presented and that was a motion to support the Halibut Allocations Considerations and you might be happy to know, that passed and our consideration will be going to the UBCM, the Union of British Columbia Municipalities in the near future,” said Halyk.
He added a number of motions were on the floor and the conference went well for Kitimat.
