COMMENTARY · 2nd May 2011
Merv Ritchie
It is well recognized and understood in all but the most “Official” levels of bureaucratic governmental deception organizations that the downing of the twin towers on September 11, 2001 was a setup, a false flag affair, an inside job of such intricate masterful details that no organization except the Israeli Mossad or the Black Ops arm of the CIA could have pulled it off. As was stated on Fox news during an interview with the son of a man who died in the towers that day, the most bizarre and conspiratorial theory is that a few Muslims with box cutters who couldn’t fly a Cessna pulled this off. Simply the falling of building 7, hit by nothing, should be enough to raise anyone’s eyebrows. Huge earthquakes do not see buildings implode in the exact replica of a controlled demolition, the falling of the towers clearly were not even that intense.

There have been numerous Conspiratorial Theories since that one and we call this next one number 62.

Canada has all the natural resources, oil, coal, gold, uranium, potash, water, electricity, natural gas; the list is endless, that is required by America. And America actually believes it is theirs. Some will remember George W Bush referring to the Oil in the Yukon and the NWT as being theirs, making a bit of an ass of himself, forgetting that it was still Canada, not the USA.

In the address to the world last night, President Obama stated they discovered where Osama bin Laden was in August of last year. Last week he stated their intelligence was confirmed and they now were absolutely certain where he was. So now we need to assess his timing.

The polls in Canada showed the NDP were about to rob Steven Harper and his USA supporting Government of their majority. In fact, it was almost certain from the latest polls this NDP surge was climbing and might even put the NDP in power in Canada.

Obama could have waited a day, a week, or ten years as they already had. Taking out a man like bin Laden, like any other dramatic event is always done to create a maximum benefit. In this case the emotional out pouring of the malleable public is clearly in Harpers favour.

Those who believe it was all Bin Laden who created terror in the world, those who are ready to jump back to sacrificing their civil liberties for protection of the rightwing militaristic governments, will clearly today, jump to Harper.

It is reactionary and as predictable as Pavlov’s dog.

Obama rang the bell for Harper at the last possible moment. He could have waited but then the NDP might have restricted the polluting activities of the Coalbed methane fracking fields for Natural gas. The NDP might restrict the Tars Sands production. The NDP might restrict Crude Oil tankers on the west Coast of BC. The NDP might ensure responsible resource extraction procedures; not ones which use thriving alive lakes and rivers as tailings ponds and waste dumps.

As bizarre as it might seem, as unreasonable as it appears, as small as one might think Canada is in the grand scheme of things, it is Canada that provides America with everything it needs. International support in the military operations (we make them look really good), fresh water, all their energy security, free access to everything they ask for actually.

This Conspiracy Theory # 62 is probably the most realistic of all the theories. Even our own past Premier, Gordon Campbell went to the highly secretive New World Order Bilderberg Group meeting due to his leadership in BC, the province providing huge natural resource benefits to the USA. And CBC’s anchor, Peter Mansbridge also attended.

Anyone that counts Canada and the leadership of Canada as an insignificant asset in America’s portfolio has been lulled into a stupor of embarrassing proportions.

In our opinion, nothing is coincidental, especially in the international games of war and peace, nothing, and this is overtly obvious.

Obama stated last night, "and today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation." He waited until the eve of Canada's Federal election.

And just how sick are we to react with joy at the outright murder of this man. Is that the new style of democratic justice? A trial by the mainstream manipulated media and an execution without any evidence except a video clip, claimed to be of him, which clearly wasn't.

And of course we have to wonder if this wasn't all staged and they really didn't get him. Have YOU seen the body? Maybe he is actually back in an American hospital getting another kidney dialysis treatment as he has in the past.

Now just where is that tinfoil hat?
Beyond the seats

First of all to complain about an artical that says "Conspiracy Theory Number 62" and say how it cheapens the news on the site I think is ridiculous. It is a well written artical and goes beyond what mainstream media says and says what they dare not. Also the fact that the Cons got a majority with only 34% of the votes shows how broken our electorial system is. Further I fully believe that 9/11 was caused by the US govt because there are too many things that don't match up, and the US govt is FULLY capable of pulling that off just to cause a war to go after another countries oil, and because of that they are fully capable of messing with our electorial system by pulling the stunt they did. How could Osama have been sitting in a mansion surrounded by family and not be noticed by the supposed best intelligence service in the world. They also are doing all the DNA and ID tests internally, which makes me wonder if it was even really him. Don't believe what your told on TV just because think for yourselves.
What is it to me?
Comment by Danny Nunes on 5th May 2011
Its quite simple....this site allows free speech when one puts there name to it.

Some people using this site have gone to great lengths of disrupting polls by flooding them to the point they had to be taken down & others have been impersonated on this site and had there names attributed to comments they did not in fact make...such as myself and former municipal manager Trafford Hall.

And is that why you hold some grudge towards me....you believe me to have done something I have not...talk about conspiracy theories.

I will always defend this site...which is not a blog as you and others like to belittle it as that does such hard work in this community and yet has to put up with such crap because people locally cant handle certain opinions & jump to conclusions based on what they hear gossiped about at a coffee shop.

Anything else you have to say I could care less.

When I think about all the times this site, and even myself have gone to volunteer, defend and benefit this community and get treated like Trafford Hall did....with a knife in the back and a kick out the door.

Is this what one can expect if they try to help the community but are one the wrong side of an issue ...they get used as a scapegoat for others fears and failures.

Nice legacy for Kitimat isnt it.

So many in Kitimat like to take me aside and whisper how they love the site and yet treat it like a dirty secret because of fear or reprisal for supporting something that doesnt meet some outdated and quite frankly stupid criteria of what news is supposed to be.

Their defintion: If anything on the site doesnt support my religious or political views its biased...end of story.

So I have had my say and wow did that feel good
Free Speech
Comment by Daniel Carter on 4th May 2011
Danny, Free speech works both ways. These people making comments or 'criticisms' against the editor, then they have every right to do so. I don't know who is moderating this blog page but whoever it is, is allowing those critics to be heard. So what if they don't want to use their real name. What is it to you anyway?
BTW nice finishing touch on the political jab. It really has nothing to do with the subject.
You know whats funny
Comment by Danny Nunes on 4th May 2011
People are here criticizing this commentary showing that they dont believe in free speech whatsoever but heres something funny...why
does this commentary cheapen this news site and yet when the Black Press new sites use photos of Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber & Hugo Chavez under there online commentarys in a desperate attempt to get people to read them that no one ever says thats cheap.

Some of you are such wimps....not even putting your name to your opinion...maybe thats why your so in love with the mainstream news sites who let you run at the mouth anonymously until they have to disable comments on a storys...this has happened twice now on a local news site.

Then again we should expect this I guess....when a majority of canadians elect a party that was found in contempt of parliament it just shows that a majority of people want to bury there heads in the sand and not even for a minute ask a question or two about whats really going on in our society.

I guess ignorance truly is bliss.

Faith in my cousins
Comment by DR on 3rd May 2011
Many women and children died in that evil carnage and I cannot bring myself to believe that our own could do that for whatever reason. I find it much more plausible that violent arab/muslim extremeists who cut people's heads off in heartless spectacle to be at blame. What seems surprising to most is the level of sophistication that determined people are capable of achieving. I love Canada and my US cousins and together we are North Americans whose families date back to the Mayflower. United we stand.
George Carlin On Conspiracys
Comment by Danny Nunes on 3rd May 2011
from the late George Carlin on Conspiracy theorists:

" I dont honestly deep down believe in political action. I think the system contracts & expands as it wants to, it accomadates these changes. I think the civil rights movement was an accomodation on the part of those who own the country. I think they see where there self interest lies, they see a certain amount of freedom seems good, an illusion of liberty...give these people a voting day every year so that they will have the illusion of meaningless choice. Meaningless choice that we go like slaves and say George I voted. The limits of debate in this country are established before the debate even begins & everyone else is marginalized or made to seem to be communist or some sort of disloyal person...a kook...theres a word...and now its conspiracy.
They have made that something that should not even be entertained for a minute that powerful people might get together & have a plan...doesnt happen...you're a kook you're a conspiracy buff.

Another quote that fits this story:

People who say they don't care what people think are usually desperate to have people think they don't care what people think.

agree with Mr Doug Read
Comment by D Bell on 3rd May 2011
I agree completely with Mr Read. I suppose this particular hallucination should be of no surprise to anyone who has read some of your other opinions, posing as "facts". Many times I have been left wondering whether you were writing a news story, or a thinly veiled editorial.
On a more positive note, I also agree that your paper does provide some timely reporting of real and local issues.
Keep smoking the dope Merv
Comment by Doug Read on 2nd May 2011
Merv, this article is complete nonense and does no credit to the 'daily' website as a credible news source. I find this really disappointing because at times the 'daily' provides good and prompt reporting on important issues.

Why tarnish your credibilty by writing this mxture of rumours and mis-information.
You really think Obama was wondering about the Canadian election while making his decision. What planet do you inhabit?!

Of the many other errors in this piece is the statement that tower 7 was "hit by nothing".
Nonense, when tower one same down where do you think the millions of tons of debris went?
Pictures show that tower 7 was badly damaged by this collaspe.

Hey like all conspiracy theories don't let the facts get in the way of a good fairly tail.
