Kyle Warwick was the find candidate representing the Liberal Party. He welcomed everyone to the forum.
“The Liberal Party is a party that always believes in compromise over partisanship. We believe in moderation. We don’t believe in excessive use of government but we don’t believe that the government is always the problem,” said Warwick.
He said no one wants to have workers work in an unsafe environment but these are US giant prisons which are being discussed. He said the prisons would not be ‘tough on crime’ but ‘wasteful and dumb on crime.’ He said another choice was money dedicated to fighter jets because it would free up money for middle and lower income people.
He stated they are proposing a passport for students who are planning to go on to post secondary education and ensure lower income backgrounds or aboriginal or Métis backgrounds.
Second, the liberals were planning on funding early childhood education, plans not to economically penalize workers who need to take time to care for a family member. They have a plan to strengthen pensions and donate more to their pensions. He said the liberals want to include smart tax credits for fixing up homes and for jobs.
“We’re not saying big government, small government, we’re saying smart government,” said Warwick.
