The Peewee Rep teams took to the ice for their final game, Kitimat vs Terrace at Tamitik on Sunday, February 27th. The early morning game was fierce on the ice, and in the stands where parents had brought out a number of noisemakers to cheer their kids on.

Terrace scored the first goal just after 5 minutes in but Kitimat was hot on their heels with their first just before the end of the first period.

At the beginning of the second period, Terrace puts a second goal into Kitimat’s net with a third 9 minutes later. Kitimat quickly gets another goal with two of Terrace’s players in the penalty box. Terrace brings the score to 4-2 to end the second period.

Whatever come back strategy Kitimat had was lost in the final period. 14 in, a player is removed for hitting from behind. Terrace scores again. With 7 minutes left in the game, a Terrace Linesmen makes a hooking call which sends a player into the penalty box. The game is delayed for a minute, with the end result being a coach being thrown out of the game and two additioal penalties for the Kitimat team.

The score is now 5-2 and Terrace immediately scores on the short handed Kitimat bringing the game to an end at 6-2. The Terrace Reps move on to the finals in Campbell River.
