We are in the final week for delivering Christmas Hampers and donations to date are down but we know how the community always comes through, even in trying times.

Christmas hampers are being delivered Saturday, December 18th beginning at 10:00 a.m., until are routes are completed. Thanks to all the volunteers who donate so generously of their time and vehicles.

Donations of non-perishable food and gifts can still be dropped off at Advantage Wings Travel and the Dairy Queen. Cash donations may be mailed to Box 20, V8C 2G6, or dropped off at Envision Credit Union. Receipts are issued for $10 and over.

We look forward to the CAW gate collections with RTA hopefully matching that amount. It has been a very difficult year for many in our community and we hope to be able to fill all the requests we receive for the Christmas hampers.

Thank you to all who have donated. Food donations will be picked up from all the Kitimat schools during the week prior to delivery. The ongoing support of the media is most appreciated. This year Hawk Air is offering two return tickets to Vancouver (in Kitimat, Terrace and Prince Rupert) in a draw to be made prior to Christmas - anyone making a donation to Wings Travel may enter his/her name into the draw. Thank you everyone - please continue your Sharing and Caring for Christmas 2010.
