Family Literacy Night is in the works for January and the organizers are looking for donations from the community so they could make the night a roaring success.
“We have sent some letters out into the community, mostly to businesses asking for donations to family literacy night and all donations go to pay for books because we always give one free book to every child who attends under the age of 12,” said Alyson Warboys.
They have received a positive response. They are up to $500 in donations from the community as of last Thursday. People with donations are asked to come down to community services or contact the community corner.
