REPORTING · 16th November 2010
Walter McFarlane
The Fifth Question after the break was a statement attacking Linda Campbell. The individual accused her of creating fights against the future mayor of Kitimat while she was on Council. He thanked Monaghan for improvements to the highway and promised not to vote for Campbell ever again. Campbell chose not to respond to the question. Neither did anyone else.

It was strange the attack statement was not cut off by the moderator or the theatre. The rules of the debate were clear that:

Questioners are to ask questions, not make speeches. Only one question per questioner, and all questions will be directed to all candidates. Moderator will cut off longwinded questioners and candidates who are over time limits. Moderator has the right to call a question or a questioner ‘Out of Order.’”

In addition, it was also stated by one individual at the forum the speaker, addressed as Al, had already gotten up to ask a question. This also marked the third question / statement fired directly at Linda Campbell and not to the rest of the panel.
