The second question was asked by Joe Feldhoff. He wanted to know what she meant in her pamphlet about the Max Lange Fund. She said in the pamphlet she had assisted with purchases through the fund. He said the decisions had to be made by the two trustees, himself and another and they get request from the doctors and they ok the requests or deny them. He wanted to know what she meant.
Linda Campbell stated the requests also go by the Regional Hospital District which she sat on for support. The group also encouraged the local government to continue supporting for the equipment.
Edwin Empinado pointed out the Max Lange Fund was managed by two people. Requests are made when Northern Health cannot supply the equipment. He said the two people who manage the fund have the right, not Council.
Corinne Scott said she attended Kitimat Health Advocacy and found out there was no Hospital Foundation in Kitimat which was a necessary method of raising funds for the hospital. She said the Max Lange Fund was there but she was going to start a Kitimat Non Profit Hospital Foundation at the Health Advocacy Group on Saturday, November 15th.
There were no further answers from the group.
