Debbie Rauhanen thanked everyone for coming out. She stated she has done a lot of different jobs in Kitimat as a ship agent, a hospital worker and cab driver with no political background.
“I am a determined, logical thinking, hardworking businesswoman. My goal is to help bring new business, new industry and new jobs to Kitimat. We sit in an ideal position here to attract business. We are a part of the northern corridor, we are a part of the entrance to a gateway, we have a deep water port, the tides great year round, we’ve access by roads and by rail and we have a skilled labour force,” said Rauhanen.
She said she would be an asset but she does not like to talk a lot. She would sooner have her actions speak for her.
