Edwin Empinado introduced himself as coming from the Philippians Islands to work at the hospital, to work in the operating room. He explained he was running because he wants to promote a healthy community for Kitimat. He explained he wants health care for all who work here, create jobs for the workers and care for the environment.
“A healthy community respects the rights of the workers, human rights, the rights of women and multiculturalism. A healthy community promotes better education to better our young for their academic endeavors and prepares them with moral, good character so they will respect themselves, respect their family and become a respectful citizen of this community,” said Empinado.
He stated a healthy community also promotes services and activities for families.
“Lastly, I believe a healthy community is an objective for inspiring. Uses healthy discussion to resolve their issues and bridge their differences,” said Empinado.
