COMMENTARY · 3rd November 2010
Halloween is always my favourite time of year. It’s the one time of year when we engage in the fantastic, the wild and the imaginative. Stories which focus on Halloween, whether they are created to invoke fear, laughter or just to tell a good story are always better around this time of year.
Kitimat certainly celebrated Halloween in style this year. With trick or treating, haunted houses and great costumes, Mario appearing to be one of the more popular ones, I counted at least 5 trick or treaters dressed like him. The Riverlodge and Mall Trick or Treating events were certainly well attended
Of course there were the Jack-o-Lanterns. Teams of talented carvers from among the schools flew to work at Overwaitea and Pumpkin Rock was once again well decorated in the remaining pumpkins.
We hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween this year.
