Envision Insurance and Financial devoted time at the end of September and the beginning of October to the Kitimat Food Bank. Several employees helped at the Food Bank while the branch held the food drive.

“We do Employee giving campaigns which we do yearly and we try to work in the community depending on which venue we go with and last year and this year, we have gone with the Kitimat Food Bank,” said Poellot.

In addition to delivering two full shopping carts of food, Envision was also able to raise $427 for the Food Bank, Poellot, Wendy Kraft and Maureen Luis also spent some time working at the food bank in September. They filled hampers and discussed what the Food Bank does for the community.

“It’s surprising how many people in the community do need the service and we were happy to help,” said Poellot. “We learned that it’s surprising what will be taken as donations.”

Poellot listed items like hotel lotions and shampoo bottles, downy sheets, toilet paper, paper towels and diapers.
