REPORTING · 16th August 2010
Walter McFarlane
There is a lot going on for the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, August 16th at 7:30 PM. Three presentations include the Monthly Policing Report provided by Staff Sergent Steve Corp and two presentations on the Industrial Bus Route by Roger Papish and Leif Larson.

After approving minutes, Council movies on to a pair of motions, the first allowing Councillor Richard McLaren to speak about his status on Council. The second is a nomination to the Northern BC Tourism Association Board.

There are 6 reports. The fist is the Statement of Financial Information, an Audit done by Carlyle Shepherd, the requests for sponsorship of the All Nations Hockey Tournament and the statement of Accounts. Among the reports is also a cryptic: “Kitamaat Village Council – Request for Apology (Verbal – Mayor Monaghan).” Included in the information package is a copy of a letter from Councillor Randy Halyk to Chief Councillor Deloris Pollard and another to Premier Gordon Campbell.

Communications only has one letter. A letter from the BC Federation of Labour. Request for support of Permanent Exemption from the CETA. Following is New Business.
