The Dragonboat Festival Guts and Glory Race was the final race of the day. Through out the day, the best 3 times were selected to partake in the race.

In their first race, the Rito Tinto Alcan Dragons made the cut with a time of 1 minute, 6. seconds while the tragically quick hit the time at 1 minute, 9 seconds. The final competitor was decided in their second race, Revenge of the Dragons at 1 minute, 7 seconds.

The Race began with a staggered start. Each team left 10 seconds after each other. After racing the first 500 metres, they had to turn around at a buoy and race back to the start.

The Tragically Quick took third with a time of 6 minutes, 12 seconds, Revenge of the Dragons took second at 6 minutes, 5 seconds and of course, the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragons came in first at 5 minutes, 46 seconds.
