REPORTING · 29th May 2010
Walter McFarlane
If you are concerned about your child’s reading ability or if you need help yourself, the Kitimat Public Library's latest program is for you. The library has secured government funding from Service Canada to hire a Literacy Coordinator or Reading Tutor.

The program is aimed at children who need help with literacy, but is open to people of all ages. David Rodrigues is presenting the tutorials. Rodrigues recently graduated from the University of Victoria and plans on returning to school in the fall to take courses for instructing students with special needs.

Rodrigues will be working at the library until August 14th. Tutorials are on a one on one basis so parents, guardians and/or caretakers are asked to book free session(s) now as they are: first come, first serve.
