There are two presentations on the agenda. The first is the monthly police report by Staff Sergeant Steve Corp, the second is the Annual Chamber of Commerce report to Council. After approving minutes, the Cardboard Ban from the dump goes towards final adoption.
Under motions, there are motions to appoint three people to the various advisory boards in Kitimat. Ken Billingsley is to be appointed to the Advisory Recreation Commission, Corrine Scott is to be appointed to the Advisory Planning Commission and Sam Harness is being appointed to the Board of Variance.
A second motion is to support a community foundation so they could receive $50,000 from NDIT. The final motion is to bring in the Grant Writer to not only work with the District but to also work with other community groups.
The first report is over the sale of District land, 187 - 7th street, to a Guy Theriault to create a business for painting and sandblasting. Following this are the renewal of a TECUP for Malcolm Straifs and a TINUP for Jack Oviette.
