The Spring Book Sale is on at the Kitimat Public Library hosted by the friends of the Library. Although the large book selection has been whittled down by the first day of the sale, there are still plenty of books.

"We don't know where the money is going this time cause we saw the budget cuts. It's being held to see what we do lose," said Aileen Ponter.

The money from the last sale went to buy a large caterpillar for the children's section. A majority of the books have been donated to the library by the public and library discards. Books leftover from the sale go to groups.

"We keep some for the base for our next sale but we send to the mobile library in the Hazelton’s, the hospital and Delta King, the Salvation Army," said Ponter.

The Sale will be on during library hours until the 15th of May. Books are purchased by donation.
