Prince Rupert RCMP
The Prince Rupert RCMP are continuing to investigate the death surrounding the 16 year old female whose body was located partially submerged in water along the waterfront in the 100 block of George Hills Way on April 10, 2010. Foul play is not being ruled out at this time and police are treating the death as suspicious.
The deceased has been identified as Emmalee Rose Mclean of Prince Rupert. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Mclean family and friends. Police have been in contact with the School Board Office and grief counsellors will be available for students at the two high schools Monday morning.
Police are working closely with the BC Coroner's Service and an autopsy is expected to take place this week.
Police are encouraging members of the public to contact police if they have information surrounding the death of Mclean or who may have been in or around the 100 block of George Hills Way prior to her body being located on April 10, 2010 at 1:30 PM.
