REPORTING · 23rd February 2010
Walter McFarlane
The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union with BC Co-operative Association are preparing for a possible Employee Buy In of the Eurocan Mill. On Wednesday February 24th, the community is invited to a meeting at the Mount Elizabeth Theatre at 7:00 PM. This will be facilitated by Marty Forst of the BC Cooperative Society.

"We invite the Community of Kitimat and Eurocan Employees to hear and learn about the benefits of an employee owned / partially owned business," writes the CEP.

Topics include the description and features of the Co-op form of ownership, strengths and benefits it can bring to the community, how the coop model can be applied to worker ownership and some of the successful coop ownerships before going into question and answers.
