The Kitimat RCMP would like the public's help in solving vandalism to both private property and commercial property that has occurred over the last month.
On the early morning hours of January 24, 2010 the Kitimat RCMP received several calls of vandalism in Kitimat. The vandalism occurred on Eagle St and Gander St where windows were broken at a house on both streets.
Sun Spot and The Salvation Army Thrift Store, both located at City Centre Mall had windows broken. Nothing was taken from either store at the time.
The Salvation Army Thrift Store has also been a target of vandalism several other times over the last month. On 2010-01-17 a window was found broken to the store. No entry was gained to the business at this time. On 2010-01 -01 another window was broken to the business. This time it is believed that several items were stolen.
There were no witnesses to any of the events.
